January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month across the USA. We wanted to provide our support base a way to get involved with sharing about the issue of human trafficking, in their every day worlds. BLUE HAIR! Participants go to partner salons to get blue hair, and then the participant shares WHY they died their hair blue. It is a simple and effective way to spread the word. PLUS, participating salons donate $10 for every strip.
Our annual 5k is held in the spring each year. Put on by our fabulous partners, Titan Realty and other sponsors – this event is filled with lots of laughs, dancing and a whole lot of walking. See you in 2019!
The annual LBD Project is is held in March each year. Everyone can be an advocate – by selecting to wear the same article of black clothing every day, all month long, in effort to raise awareness and funds for survivors of human trafficking. Anyone, of any age, race or gender can participate and make a difference in the lives of the girls we serve.

We are partner with local dance studios for a one-of-a-kind event. The show tells the story of a local human trafficking survivor as we portray the emotions and twists and turns of her journey to restoration; while showcasing Charlotte’s best dance talent. This event is held in September each year.
“There is a powerful story that emerges when we combine story-telling, music and dance. These talented, young dancers are giving their peers a voice. This issue effects the community, and so we sought to engage the community to rise up and be the solution.” Hannah Arrowood
